Ashmour Alpine is in the exclusive village of Les Gets which is situated between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc in the heart of the region known as Portes du Soleil. Le Porte du Soleil is one of the largest cross border ski regions in the world. It spreads across 14 resorts in France & Switzerland and has a vast 650kms of slopes to suit all levels of skiing and snowboarding. The apartment itself is situated so you can enjoy the beautiful views of some of the surrounding French mountains, giving it a wonderful tranquil feeling despite being a stones throw from the centre of the village, the bars. restaurants and the ski lifts.
Lots of great activities also make Les Gets a great choice for a summer holiday. Hiking trails, golf and mountain biking are among some of the most popular things to do. The bike park in Les Gets has 120kms of signposted bike tracks that are ideal for all the family and the hard-core bikers alike. Les Gets is renowned for its biking and to date has hosted parts of the World Cup and also parts of the Mountain Biking World Championships.
Les Gets and the surrounding areas are also a regular venue for some of the alpine stages of the famous Tour de France.
The village has a traditional atmosphere and during the summer months the many festivals and events that take place add to the charm of this lovely resort.
After the days activities are over there are many shops in Les Gets that are definitely worth a visit and every Thursday morning there is a traditional French market where you will find many local crafts and also many of the local farmers displaying everything from local meats to unusual cheese and wine . Les Gets has a good selection of bars and restaurants and for those who would like to dance the night away there is the Igloo Night Club. |

| Les Gets is easy to access by air, road or rail. it is situated in the Northern French Alps near the Swiss border and just 55kms from Geneva. By road - This is mainly by auto-route from the channel ports. driving takes about 8-10 hours from Calais or Caen / Le Havre. By air - Geneva airport is only 55kms from Les Gets and Lyon is approx 170kms. if you hire a car it takes roughly an hour to make the journey and many of the low cost airlines now fly to Geneva and Lyon from a large number of places. By taxi - from Geneva airport you can get a taxi from outside the terminal entrance for a maximum of 4 people and the cost is approx 125 Euro each way. By rail - the French high speed train (TGV) takes about 4-5 hours from Paris and stops at Cluses and Thonon which are both about 45 minutes from Les Gets |
