Sporthotel with a lot of sportaktivities 200m from the Beach and the windsurfing centre
Our Sportclub Hotel Naxosbeach1is located at the end of St. George Beach - only a ten minute walk away from the lively Naxos city with its nice taverns, lovely cafes and good restaurants. The Hotel was renovated in winter and spring 2000 in a traditional cycladic style. The 69 tastefully furnished rooms have all terrace or balcony, air condition, refrigerator, TV, telephone, safe and mosquitonet.
The hotel has also a new swimming-pool with poolbar and a beautiful garden. You enjoy breakfast on a our terrace with a magnificent view into the garden.
Our facilities we offer at the reception: fax- und copyservice, order for taxi, appointments in restaurants, postcard and letter service, information-service, laundry, appointments for massage and phisiotherapy, car- and bike rental.
We offer rooms in three categories:
Rooms in the main building category A
The rooms in the main building are all featured with balcony or terrace with gardenview or poolview. There are double rooms and riple rooms available with single beds ore queensize beds. The rooms are all equipped with aircondition, TV, safe and frigerator.
Rooms in the side building category B
The rooms in the sidebuilding have a rustic furnishing and feature a terrace or balcony with poolview or landview.
Rooms in the side building category C
The rooms in the category C are the same as category B, but balconies and terraces face the street.
at the reception you will find hairdryer, coffeemaschine, laundrybag and hotwater-cooker to borrow free of charge.

Flisvos Studios
The redecorated studios are about 80 m behind the Flisvos Sports Club and the beach. They have bathroom with shower, kitchenette and terraces.
There 4 studios in the category B with own garden, one Studio in category C with terrace and our family studio.
The family studio has two separate sleeping rooms with kitchenette, bath with shower and a terrace.

Our hotel is located at the wonderfull sandybeach of St.George. At the beach the Flisvos-Sportclub is located and offers you windsurfing school and epuipment hire, satsailing, beachvolleyball, horse riding or just relaxing. From the hotel it is only a 10min walk to the old town of Naxos. Or you go by bicycle that are free of charge for our hotel guests. Enjoy the little lanes wich are climbing to the hill aside from the bustle on the Paralia. You will find many tavernes and little stores. The Castro situated above the town was built during the dominion of the Venetians (1204-1537). The reward for thr ascent is the amazing view over the island and the aegean sea.
The island of Naxos invites you to explore its manifold landscape: green plataeus, long sandy beaches, cliffs, mountains until 1004m height, silvery green olive groves, little bays out of the way, little villages hidden in the mountains and always the cristal blue water of the aegean sea. Naxos is the biggest of the cycladian islands. In contrast to the most other islands Naxos has a good stock of ground water. Therefore she is very fertile and offers a wonderful green landscape. Explore the island on a guided hiking tour and learn about plants and flowers, see hidden waterfalls and snapping turtles. Or ride with our Mountainbike guide Andy throug the mountains and beaches of Naxos, with amazing views all over the cyclades. Or just relax an our milelong golden sandy beaches, go windsurfing, catsailing, kitesurfing or even scuba diving. We arrange also surfsafaris to the spots in the south of the island. With the yacht Christiana we sail to the neighbour island Paros also you can go for a 3-day trip on the yacht to see the beautiful cyclades around Naxos. All of the Cyclades belong to the moderate, subtropical Mediterranean climate. At Naxos rotate hot and dry summers with windy and rainfully but gentle winters. Between June and September the Meltemi wind appears. Normally it starts in the late forenoon, increases during the day until 5 and 6 Beaufort and abate slowly until eve, if compensated by a northly land breeze. Betimes it reaches the marks of 7 and 8 Beaufort, then it stays mostly in the same strength all night long and also for the follwing days. So you will have best conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing all over the year. |
