A magnificently located Villa, overlooking the white sandy beaches of Isla Canela & the Atlantic. The property is made up of two interconnecting apartments and can sleep from 6-12 people.
The property has sea views from upstairs and downstairs lounges, with a breathtaking panorama from the rooftop terrace of the Atlantic Ocean; each apartment has it's own entrance making this an ideal property for family holidays. There is a large, private, shaded terrace with BBQ for outside dining. This overlooks the garden and is adjacent to the granite-topped kitchen.
The Atlantic coast of Spain is a magnet for sports enthusiasts, and the beaches of Isla Canela are the perfect place for kitesurfers and windsurfers. The highly prized beaches are very safe with a sandbank out to sea where ?almejas? (mussels) can be fished; these provide an ideal sheltered location for people learning to kitesurf and windsurf - they are regularly used by expert kitesurfers for instruction, and for their own enjoyment.
As well as the superb beaches and exciting sports opportunities, the area offers much for the 'ecotourist' as it is surrounded by protected areas and nature reserves teeming with wildlife. Almost on your own doorstep, the 'Marismas del Guadiana', the marshes of the Guadiana estuary, are rich in birdlife, including herons, storks and flamingos. |

If you wish only to rent the downstairs apartment prices start at £250 per week, if you only wish to rent the upstairs apartment then prices start at £300 per week. Description |
Isla Canela is a beach resort connected, by a causeway over salt marshes, to the bustling fishing port and resort town of Ayamonte in the Huelva district of Andalucia on the Costa de la Luz. A ferry from Ayamonte, or the spectacular new suspension bridge, can take you across the Guadiana River, which separates Spain from the Algarve and Portugal. The motorway can get you to Faro in 45 minutes, Seville within an hour.
And if you don't want to cook, the beaches at Isla Canela have many restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours within 3 minutes walk of the villa. The 'old town' of Ayamonte is only five minutes drive away with pedestrianised streets and plazas full of busy bars, pavement cafe and tapas bars serving the great seafood characteristic of the Costa de la Luz; the elegant Plaza de la Laguna has a good choice of eating places with outdoor seating. Next to the main square, the Paseo de la Ribera, is the picturesque harbour and marina. In the old town is the fifteenth-century Iglesia de San Salvador, worth a visit for its memorable tower with superb views across to Portugal; there are equally good views from the tower of the sixteenth-century San Francisco church nearby. |
