Enjoy this authentic traditional Moroccan house in the old historical medina. Discover real Moroccan life, close to the nice beach of Azemmour Plage.
Riad Azama, a traditionnal Riad (end of 18 th century) perfectly renovated is situated in the old medina of Azemmour, a short walking distance from the spot of surfing and kitesurfing (Azemmour plage - El Haouzia)
Enter by "Bab Makhzen" then turn left twice. The blue door of the Riad is at the end of the small street.
At the reception free wifi access.
In the middle of the house is a "patio" with a fountain. You'll be surprised by the giant banana-trees where small free parrots fly and give an incredible exotic touch.
On the groundfloor 3 rooms (2 large "suite" and 1 smaller room) - (one large room is suitable for family) .A small salon with a lot of books about Morocco. Table and chairs available for each room in the "patio"
On the first floor: 3 rooms (2 large "suite" and 1 smaller room but with an extra bed in mezzanine.)
Three of our suite have a "king bed" (1,8O m large)
On the second floor, the first terrace with its pergola and its solarium with sunbathing chairs.
On the top, the highest terrace offers a panoramic view over the medina. The sea on the horizon and the river.
In another part of the riad is the "Douiria" (the small house) with the dining room for winter season.
Its ceiling is hand painted and is a part of Azemmour patrimony.
Our cook Nezha can prepare typical and traditionnal moroccan meals: she's an expert in Moroccan food: Harrira, Couscous, ans so many different types of Tagines. if you prefer to stay in the Riad after a day of visits or water-sports, we can arrange half-board with evening meals (about 12 euros extra per person and per day)
On arrival we'll welcome you with the traditionnal mint tea and local pastries.

Situated between Casablanca and El Jadida (Mazagan) on the atlantic coast, along the river Oum Errebia.
Azemmour Plage (El Haouzia). Spot of kitesurfing and surfing.
Easy access: only about 60 mn from Casablanca airport by car (car rental at the airport) Motorway from the airport to Azemmour.
It's a real moroccan town, out of beatten tracks. Here you can discover an historical medina occupied by the portugueses from 1513 to 1541, with its big walls and fortifications. Famous people stayed in Azemmour: Ferdinand Magellan took part to the Azemmour Battle in 1513 and was wounded to his knee. Estevanico, (Little Stephen) a black slave born in Azemmour around 1500 was the first man, except the indians to walk across Colorado and New Mexico in 1539. he's a part of American history.
Many films were made here : Pénélope Cruz and Matthew Mc Canaughey were in Azemmour for the film "Sahara"
Walk in the old medina and along the river "Oum Errebia"
Go on the river with local fishermen in their "flouka" (small boat) and watch the wonderfull seabirds.
Have a promenade to the beach of El Haouzia (Azemmour plage) and go surfing or kitesurfing depending on the weather conditions.
Discover the typical Souk on tuesday.
Have a coffee in one of the numerous "cafés" (mak'ha) of the street to El Jadida
Admire the traditionnal azemmour embroidery with the dragons. A tradition since thr 18th century.
and simply have a true contact with the population, far from the touristic cities.
Climb at night the very busy street "Tarek Moulay Bouchaib" to the mausolée and watch all the small incredible shops.
For local transport, lots of small taxis in town.
Bus stop along the walls near the Riad.
Parking very cheap nearby.
3 banks - post office - western union - pharmacies - cyber - car rental and all services in town (short walking distance from the Riad)
EL JADIDA :
another portuguese city is only 17 km from Azemmour. The old Portuguese citern is one of the most famous monument in Morocco. Nice beach and avenues with palm trees.
